The Mayor's Youth Academy, comprising junior and senior students from across Rogers Public Schools, has been meeting for the last seven months with the goal of deepening their civic knowledge. Now entering its final month, the academy is hosting a service project.
In Rogers Public Schools, there are over 350 students who are underhoused or in shelter transition. Under the guidance of RPS social workers, the Youth Academy has identified the necessary supplies to assist these students. With your help, we can provide essential resources for these youth through donations. The MYA will set up "drop boxes" throughout various city facilities. Suggested donations would include hygiene products (ex: toothbrush and paste, deodorant, comb/brush, shampoo/conditioner/body wash, and feminine hygiene products), household items (ex: laundry detergent), snack foods (cereal, protein/granola bars, peanut butter crackers, etc.), and notes of encouragement. Together, we can empower our youth to overcome challenges and build a brighter future!
