Proclamation Application

  1. Proclamation Purpose
    Proclamations are ceremonial documents signed by the Mayor and issued for: public awareness, charitable fundraising campaigns, arts and cultural celebrations, or special honors at the Mayor's recommendation. Requests must be made by a resident or business in the City of Rogers.
  2. Proclamation Guidelines
    The City of Rogers may issue a proclamation or certificate at its discretion and will have final approval of the contents. Proclamations will NOT be issued for: deceased persons, birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, retirements or family reunions, for-profit campaigns, business anniversaries of less than 50 years, matters of political controversy, ideological or religious beliefs, individual conviction, events or organizations with no direct relationship to the City of Rogers, nor campaigns or events contrary to City policies.
  3. Proclamation
    The body of a proclamation is limited to 150 words and seven (7) "whereas" sections.
