1. Who do I need to contact if my trash/recycling was missed?

You will need to contact your provider, LRS at 479-878-1384.

2. I've recently moved to the City of Rogers, how do I sign up for trash service?

You will need to contact your provider, LRS at 479-878-1384 to schedule can delivery and find out your pick up day.

3. Does the city offer free mulch?

The city offers free mulch at the James R. Welch Recycling Center yard waste facility. You must be a resident of Rogers to get free mulch. Bring your photo ID and a current water bill to show you are a Rogers resident.  Help yourself to as much mulch as you would like. Be sure to bring your own shovel, bags and containers.

4. How do I dispose of paint?

Water-based or latex paint is not a hazardous waste. It can be placed in your household trash providing it is completely dried solid. If there is a small amount of paint in the can, the lid can be removed and the paint allowed to dry. Adding cat litter or saw dust will speed up the drying process. Oil-based or alkyd paint is always considered a Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) and should be disposed of at a HHW collection facility or collection event.

5. Do you accept used cooking oil?

Yes. You may drop off used cooking oil during our business hours. Please stop by the Special Waste Drop-Off with your material in a disposable container.

6. I need to do community Service. What do I need to know?

Court ordered community service is handled on a first come, first serve basis. If you arrive late you may be denied a spot. Reservations will not be accepted. Please bring a photo id. You must be 16 or older to work at the Rogers Recycling Center. If you are under 18 a parent or guardian must sign a waiver for you.

Court workers will be assisting in the Recycling Center which is open Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Saturday 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. You must take a one hour lunch on weekdays, which will be deducted from your time.

We require a minimum commitment of 4 hours each time you work unless given permission by the on site manager.

You will be working in an industrial setting so dress accordingly based on expected weather conditions. You must comply with our dress code in order to work at this facility.
a. No crop tops, tank tops, leggings, yoga pants, pajamas, sagging pants, slippers or sandals.
b. No inappropriate offensive messages, swear words or pictures allowed on clothing.
c. Closed-toe shoes only. We encourage steel-toed leather boots.
d. No jewelry, other than wedding rings. All piercings must be removed.
e. Shorts are allowed during extreme heat conditions as long as they reach the knee.

All personal protective equipment is provided. We recommend bringing a pair of work gloves.

1. What should I do if LRS misses my trash or recycle on the scheduled pickup day?

In the event a regularly scheduled collection is missed through no fault of the customer, a special collection will occur within 36 hours of LRS receiving notification. Please call (479) 878-1384 the following morning so a prompt pickup may be scheduled. If you have been missed on a Friday, please call (479) 878-1384 between 8:00 AM-12:00 PM on Saturday to reschedule for a Monday pickup.

2. How do I schedule a free bulk pickup?

Bulky waste is collected once a month. Please do not co-mingle bagged trash with bulky waste. If it is in a bag, it is assumed to be household trash and will not be picked up. Bulky Waste Collection must be scheduled with LRS / Orion Waste Solutions by calling (479) 878-1384. Construction and/or demolition debris such as toilets, boards, plywood, or cabinets are not considered bulky waste and will not be picked up by LRS / Orion Waste Solutions.

3. I am not sure how to dispose of a particular item, who can I contact?

Contact LRS / Orion Waste Solutions at 479-878-1384 to ask them what items are acceptable. You can also contact Benton County Environmental Division at 479-271-1083.

4. Can my cart be picked up at my doorstep if I am not able to wheel my cart to the curb?

Yes. In accordance with the American with Disabilities Act and exceptional customers’ needs, LRS / Orion Waste Solutions will provide house to curb service at the rate of curbside service. Please contact LRS / Orion Waste Solutions at 479-878-1384 for more details.

5. How can I file a complaint against LRS?

As with any customer provided service, LRS hopes to avoid the need complaints. However, on any projects this large, misunderstandings will occur. Keep in mind the trucks are emptied periodically and will return to finish collections where they left off. If you feel you have been missed, please call (479) 878-1384 the following morning so a prompt pickup may be scheduled. If your complaint remains unresolved after speaking with customer service, contact the manager at (479) 878-1384. If you feel your complaint is still unresolved after speaking with the manager, please contact the front desk at City Hall (479) 621-1117 to report the concern. You may also report a concern online.

6. Will my trash/recycle be picked up during the holidays?

There will not be trash service on the following holidays: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day. Trash pickup will resume one day after your scheduled day during the week of the holiday. Extra trash placement is allowed on your pickup date following the Christmas holiday.

7. When is leaf pickup? Is there a limit to the number of bags?

LRS / Orion Waste Solutions provides a curbside leaf pickup in the fall annually. The City of Rogers will publish these dates on our website and through social media outlets. There is a limit of 30 bags per household.

8. Can I dispose of landscape debris in the trash container?

No. The City of Rogers encourages its residents to manage their yard waste using on-site techniques such as backyard composting and mulching mowers. Alternatively, yard waste may be dropped off at either the Rogers Recycling Center located at 2300 N Arkansas St.

9. My house is vacant, however I have to keep the water on due to house showings, how can I cancel the trash?

By city ordinance, trash service in the City of Rogers is considered a part of the city's provision of basic utility services and is mandatory for all residential customers. Since the city is not able to verify when a house becomes occupied from being vacant, trash service can only be discontinued simultaneously with water services.

10. I'm about to move to Rogers, what should I expect from LRS as a new resident?

The City of Rogers contracts with LRS for trash collection services and the monthly charge is automatically added to your water bill. Please contact LRS at 479-878-1384 to request new service. A trash bin and a recycle bin will be delivered to your new address within 7 calendar days of the request. Services are constantly evaluated to ensure residents get the very best of service.

11. Am I able to request a smaller bin for either my trash or recycle cart?

Yes, in certain circumstances a smaller bin can be provided. For example, if there is a disabled or elderly person with very little trash. They can apply for a smaller bin, must provide a drivers license or State ID and the request must be approved by the Water Department. The can sizes available are: 96 or 64 gallon rolling carts.

12. How do I request a replacement for a damaged or stolen bin?

Contact LRS / Orion Waste Solutions at 479-878-1384 to request a repair or replacement. Customers will be provided a new bin within 7 calendar days of the request.
