1. Are fireworks legal in the city limits of Rogers?

Yes, but with the following restrictions: Within the dates of July 2 - July 4 of each year, between the hours of 11:00am - 11:00pm, the use of fireworks shall be permitted, with the exception of any aerial fireworks device attached to a stick commonly referred to as a "bottle rocket", or any other similar device, regardless of its name. With the exception of fireworks used or exploded by the city for purposes of a public display, no fireworks shall be used or discharged on any city owned property. No fireworks shall be used or exploded on private property without the property owner's consent.

2. Will the Rogers Fire Department fill my swimming pool?

We do not fill swimming pools.  Contact Rogers Water Utilities about a reduction in sewer charges before filling your pool by calling (479) 621-1142.

3. Is it legal to burn trash or leaves in Rogers?

Burning of trash and manufactured materials is ILLEGAL in the city limits. Burning of yard wastes in a residential zone is permitted in the city limits. The term "yard waste" shall mean grass, clippings, leaves and shrubbery trimmings collected from residential property. The fire chief, or his designee, will be notified and such burning shall be conducted in accordance with the open burning policies of the fire department. Conditions such as exposures, weather conditions, proximity to neighboring structures, schools and other public facilities and hazardous occupancies may cause denial of such a request. 4. How come firetrucks show up when I call 911 for a medical emergency?

When a 911 call is placed the dispatchers are trained and certified in a program we use called Emergency Medical Dispatching (EMD). Depending on the nature/severity of the call it will recommend that a fire company be dispatched to assist with the incident. If there is only a fire company at a station they will be dispatched and are able to provide medical care until the closest ambulance arrives.

5. How do I get a free smoke detector installed in my home?

To submit a request via the internet go to www.rogersar.gov/fire, click on Community Programs on the left hand side of the screen, then click on Free Smoke Alarms, also on the left side of the screen. Please complete the form as thoroughly as possible.

6. Do you have a program for young adults interested in the fire department?

Young adults who are interested in learning more about the Rogers Fire Department are encouraged to participate in the RFD’s Citizen Ride-Along Program. The Ride-Along Program gives interested persons the opportunity to accompany firefighters as they go about their daily duties and respond to emergency incidents. This program is open to all individuals over the age of sixteen, upon the approval of the Fire Chief. Those individuals interested in taking part in the RFD Ride-Along Program should contact Fire Administration at (479) 986-6801 for further information.

7. Does Rogers fire department provide airlift?

The Rogers Fire Department does not provide medical airlift. However, we have a medical helicopter based in Rogers, Lifeline 5 operated by Mercy Hospital. If this unit is unavailable, we can also utilize Air Evac 4 located in Springdale, just to the south of the city.

8. How do I get a copy of a fire or EMS report?

To request a Fire/EMS Report via the internet go to www.rogersar.gov/fire and click on "Request a Fire Run Report" on the right hand side of the screen under Quick Links. A request can also be made in person at the Fire Administration office at 201 N. 1st St. or by calling (479) 621-1179. Please note that EMS records contain protected information and can only be released to the patient.
