Is it legal to burn trash or leaves in Rogers?

Burning of trash and manufactured materials is ILLEGAL in the city limits. Burning of yard wastes in a residential zone is permitted in the city limits. The term "yard waste" shall mean grass, clippings, leaves and shrubbery trimmings collected from residential property. The fire chief, or his designee, will be notified and such burning shall be conducted in accordance with the open burning policies of the fire department. Conditions such as exposures, weather conditions, proximity to neighboring structures, schools and other public facilities and hazardous occupancies may cause denial of such a request. Permit requests may be completed by filling out a burn permit form online, or by calling 636-4141.
