Rogers Participates in Artspace Feasibility Study

ROGERS, AR—  The Walton Family Foundation has invited Artspace, the nation’s leading nonprofit developer of affordable space for artists and arts organizations, to help assess the feasibility of a local arts development in Downtown Rogers. In a first-of-its-kind regional approach, this initiative will gather ideas and leaders from across Northwest Arkansas to assess the creative and cultural space needs of the area. Some of the key goals of this work are to gain a better understanding of the region’s diversity of creative people and organizations, and the potential steps toward creating sustainably affordable spaces to support them.

Artspace would like to better understand how artist spaces fit into the community's current priorities and hear from locals. We invite you to participate in a public forum and give your insight. With your help, Artspace will work to gather ideas about what the creative sector is missing, collect feedback about potential sites, and look at fresh ideas to serve the needs of Rogers.

This is an early discussion to gather input from the community about current and new creative spaces and needs that will benefit greatly from your input. The public is invited to a meeting at Arkansas Public Theatre 116 S 2nd Street, Rogers, AR 72756 at 6:30pm on April 19th. Refreshments will be provided.
