Lake Atalanta Trails Take Top Spot in State Competition

The Lake Atalanta Soft Surface Trail system has been awarded 'Soft Surface Trail of The Year' by the Arkansas Recreation and Parks Association. The award will be presented at the ARPA's annual conference this week in Rogers. Lake Atalanta has over 10 miles of soft surface trails that wind through the 236 acre park. The trails range in difficulty and connect to the Railyard, a slopestyle bike park that has garnered national attention.  

"It's a great honor", Parks and Recreation Director Jim White said. "Our staff works hard to keep these trails in top shape, and this is a big boost of confidence for everybody."
