Brick Street Criterium Races: Road Closures 

The 2017 Brick Street Criterium races will be held in the downtown area on July 8th, 2017.  The event will feature multiple bicycle races, lasting from thirty to ninety minutes each depending on the category. 

The racing will begin at 12:00 PM  and conclude at 10:00 PM. Road closures will be in effect from 11:30 AM -10:00 PM. Roads closed will include W. Walnut between 1st and 7th Streets, W. Poplar between 1st and 7th Streets, S. 1st between Walnut and Poplar Streets and S. 6th between Walnut and Poplar Streets. Members of the Rogers Police Department will be providing traffic control for this event.

The bicycle race routes will loop on the roadways of 1st Street, Poplar Street, 7th Street and Walnut Street. Although roads on the route will be closed, traffic will be able to enter the closed area at 2nd street.  

This will allow residents, business staff and patron to have vehicular access and parking within the race route. Parking for the event will be inside and around the race route. 


The Rogers Street Department will provide adequate signage for the road closures and detour route. In addition, Benton County Emergency Management will provide two electronic signs communicating the closures to motorists. These signs will be placed at 7th/Walnut and 2nd/Persimmon.
