Community Invited to Annual Easter Egg Hunt

The City of Rogers would like to invite the public to the Mayor's Annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 8th from 3 to 5 pm. The event will take place at Veterans Park in Rogers, located at 500 E. Veterans Parkway.

There will be activities for the entire family with inflatables, Easter Bunny photos, pony rides, face painting and concessions. The Easter Egg hunts will be divided into age groups, with Ages 1-3  at 3:30Ages 4-6 at 4:00, and Ages 7-9 at 4:30No Adults will be allowed on fields except for the 1-3 age group.

Unlike typical Easter egg hunts, the Mayor's hunt replaces the candy with coins. Kids can expect to collect between $2 and $4 and are encouraged to donate a small portion to a charity of their choosing. There's also eggs with notes inside for a chance to win Easter baskets filled with prizes.

"This instills the idea of philanthropy and community responsibility, it starts from an early age in building a foundation of being a good citizen," Mayor Greg Hines said about the event's charitable nature.
