City Council Accepting Resumes for Vacant Seat

The Rogers City Council is accepting qualified resumes of residents interested in appointment to the vacant Ward 4 position on the City Council. The appointed term will expire on December 31^st, 2018.  The appointed person will be eligible to seek further office as the Ward 4 representative in the November 2018 General Election to a four-year term. 
 
According to Arkansas State law and the Rogers City Code the candidate for appointment to this vacancy shall be 1) a U.S. Citizen, 2) a registered voter of Benton County, and 3) a resident of Ward 4 in the City of Rogers.  A map of City wards may be found here.
 
The incumbent will be paid a salary of $792 per month and will be eligible for Group Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits.  The Municipal Officials AD&D Plan provided by the Arkansas Municipal League is also included. 
 
Interested candidates may deliver resume materials to the Rogers City Clerk Peggy David, or may submit by email to employment@rogersar.gov.  The online application for general City employment is not required for this appointed position.  The deadline for submission is 12 pm on Friday, March 24th, 2017.  Interested candidates should be available to meet with Council on Monday, March 27th. The vacant seat will be filled Tuesday, March 28th and a full council will be in place for the March 28th Council Meeting.  All submissions and communications related to this appointment may be subject to disclosure under the Arkansas Freedom of Information Act.
