Rogers City Council Member Passes Away

The City of Rogers has learned of the passing of City Council member, Sam Jeffery, earlier this week. Sam served as alderman for Ward 4 and was elected in November of 2013.

"Rogers lost one of the good guys this week.  Sam was not only a city leader but a lifelong friend. He was devoted to making Rogers better and maintained a very intentional focus on the revitalization of downtown Rogers, the trail system, and park expansions.  We will greatly miss the always positive demeanor he applied to addressing city business. Personally, I will miss his friendship, humor, and endearing attitude." -Greg Hines, Mayor of Rogers.

A visitation has been scheduled for Sunday, March 12 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Jeffey's home, with the funeral following on Monday, March 13th. The Funeral will take place at Central United Methodist Church in Rogers and begin at 10:00 a.m. City flags will be lowered to half-staff on Monday to honor Councilman Jeffery.
