The City of Rogers is announcing the grand opening of the Uptown Overpass Project, a significant infrastructure milestone that enhances connectivity and accessibility within the Uptown district. This event is scheduled for November 9th, 2023, at 4 p.m. on the west side of the overpass, just north of the Walmart AMP.
The Uptown Overpass Project represents the city's commitment to progress, improved mobility, and a better quality of life for its residents and visitors. This project creates a direct connection between the commercial, medical, and residential areas of Uptown.

- Welcome Address: Mayor Greg Hines and Dan Thompson, President of Crossland Heavy Contractors will speak, highlighting the importance of the Uptown Overpass Project and its impact on the community.
- Official Ribbon Cutting: Following Mayor Hines's address, the event will continue with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
- Open Overpass Walk: After the ribbon cutting, attendees are invited to experience the overpass firsthand by walking along the bike-friendly sidewalk. This will provide an opportunity to appreciate the project's design and the improved connectivity it offers.
The best parking for the event will be in the north parking lot of the Walmart AMP, providing convenient access to the grand opening location. We encourage all community members, well-wishers, and interested media to join us for this event on November 9th, 2023.
