[ARCHIVED] City of Rogers and Community Clinic Announce October Vaccine Clinics

October Covid 19 Clinics Schedule

The City of Rogers and the Community Clinic continue their partnership to hold a series of COVID-19 vaccine clinics in October.  This continued effort helps provide opportunities for residents or visitors to acquire the vaccine.  Hopes are to continue raising the vaccination rate in Rogers and the surrounding communities.   Below are the dates and times for October.

October 9th · Central United Methodist Church 2535 W New Hope Rd · 9am to 11am
October 9th · Oktoberfest 102 E Walnut St · 2pm to 5pm
October 16th · Farmer’s Market 102 E Walnut St · 10am to 1pm
October 24th · Central United Methodist Church 2535 W New Hope Rd · 3pm to 6pm
October 30th · Farmer’s Market 102 E Walnut St · 10am to 1pm 

No appointments are necessary and there is no cost to you.

Participants will be able to choose between Pfizer and Moderna vaccines.  Pfizer booster doses are available as well.  Third booster doses are available according to Arkansas Department of Health guidelines.  You SHOULD get a third booster shot 6 months after your second dose if you are in one of these categories:  

· People age 65 years and older
· People age 18 years and older who are residents in long-term care settings
· People age 50 to 64 with certain underlying medical conditions 

You MAY get a Pfizer third booster shot 6 months after your second dose if you are in one of these categories:

· People age 18 to 49 with certain underlying medical conditions
· People age 18 to 64 at increased risk for COVID-19 exposure and transmission because of an occupational or institutional setting 

If you are planning to get a second or third dose, please bring the vaccine card showing previous doses. Vaccines will be available for persons age 12 and older. Those from the ages of 12 to 17 will require a parent or guardian to be present.

Transportation support is still available through the Community Development Block Grant. Those interested in participating in one of the clinics that need a ride may be able to have one arranged by calling in advance.
