The Rogers Animal Services will be taking part in the BISSEL “Empty the Shelters” adoption event. This will be held at the Rogers Animal Shelter July 7th to July 10th. Rogers Animal Services will have both dogs and cats available and all adoptions are $5.  Each animal available will be spayed or neutered and have a microchip.

BISSELL Pet Foundation hosts this national event quarterly, which began in 2016. The effort has helped more than 53,742 pets find their forever homes in area shelters. During each nationwide event, BISSELL Pet Foundation helps sponsor reduced adoption fees. This summer’s event will be hosted in more than 180 shelters in 40 states, including Rogers Animal Services.  Rogers has been participating in this event since 2019.

Assistant Shelter Manager Matt Colston points out that there is a 4th of July uptick trend experienced by shelters. He states, “With this uptick in intakes, every little bit helps to get these animals into good homes”.

Rogers Animal Shelter is located at 2935 West Oak St. Residents are asked to call ahead to schedule an appointment at 479-621-1197.
