In addition to the Rogers Adult Wellness Center, the Rogers Historical Museum and Rogers Public Library will be closed beginning on Monday, March 16, until further notice. The Rogers Activity Center (RAC) will also close on Monday, March 16, following Governor Hutchinson’s announcement to close schools. The RAC will reevaluate alongside the Rogers Public School system to determine future action. In addition to the facility closures, all programs and events that were scheduled for March have been cancelled.

Although there have been no reported cases of COVID-19 thus far within our community, the City of Rogers considers maintaining the health and safety of our residents and visitors as our top priority, and the closing of public facilities is necessary in order to help prevent the spread of the virus.

Rogers Parks and Recreation has suspended all rentals of public park pavilions and sports fields until further notice. The parks will still remain open to the public; however, we encourage everyone to follow Arkansas Department of Health’s guidelines on social distancing practices.

In an effort to still provide services to our residents through the time of closure, the Rogers Public Library would like to remind the public that eBooks, downloadable audio and music streaming is still accessible online. You can find these resources on the library’s website at www.rogerspubliclibrary.org. As the library is still transitioning to the new computer software, the public is encouraged to call the library during regular business hours for help navigating any technical difficulties at 479-621-1152.

The City will continue to monitor the development of COVID-19 on a daily basis and seek guidance from the Arkansas Department of Health (ADH) and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and officials will alert the public when the facilities will be reopened. Please continue to monitor the City’s website (www.rogersar.gov) and “The City of Rogers” Facebook page for additional updates on City closures or developments.
