[ARCHIVED] City of Rogers to Offer Assistance for Residents

Storm Debris Pickup 10.21.19

ROGERS, AR- The City of Rogers will begin tree limb pickup on Monday, October 28th to areas affected by the 10/21 storm. Through drone footage, 911 calls, and utility calls, we have determined the affected area as extending to the south, west, and east city limit boundaries and south of Walnut from 8th Street to Olive Street. See attached map.  If you had damage and live outside of this defined area, please contact the Street Department at 479-621-1140 for an individual determination. All limbs must be curbside no later than 6 AM on Monday, October 28th. Do not place limbs near utilities, mailboxes, storm drains, or fire hydrants. The Rogers Street Department will only conduct one pass through of streets and any limbs not placed curbside by 6 AM on Monday, October 28th will not be picked up.

Alternatively, tree debris may be taken to the Benton County Solid Waste District, located at 2307 N. Arkansas Street, which will temporarily operate with extended hours from 8 AM-6 PM (closed 12-12:30 PMduring lunch) effective Wednesday, October 23rd until Saturday, November 2nd (closed Sunday). Only yard waste material (trunks, branches, leaves) will be accepted and residents must bring proof of residency and identification in order to drop off the material.

Additionally, Orion Waste Solutions is offering residents that lost power the opportunity to drop off food waste at two locations: Orion Waste Solutions, located at 848 Highway 264E Bethel Heights from Wednesday, October 23rd-Friday October 25th from 6 AM to 6PM and Saturday, October 26th from 8 AM-12PM and Rogers Animal Services, located at 2935 W Oak Street. Rogers Animal Services will only serve as a drop off for expired food material, and will not be given to animals at the shelter.  Residents must present their identification along with their most current Rogers Water Utility bill or Orion Waste trash collection bill.

We encourage all homeowners to first contact their insurance provider to assist with any damage. However, if a resident is still in need, please contact Rogers City Hall at 479-621-1117 so we may direct the resident to several organizations and non-profits that would like to offer help.
