Welcome to my first blog.....
The new year means new pursuits, which includes this blog! Already, we are well into the new year. January passed us by quickly and according to Punxsutawney Phil, cold weather temps will be over in about 6 weeks but hey, you know Arkansas weather. Are there any groundhogs in Arkansas who would agree with Phil?
Either way, when spring arrives it won't be a moment too late. We have a fantastic variety of parks and trails to enjoy again this year. Join me for my annual Easter Egg Hunt in Veterans Park, March 19th! In Historic Downtown Rogers, the 2nd Annual St. Patrick's Day Pub Crawl is March 17th then, in April, be sure to visit our new Farmer's Market at 101 Cherry Street.
That's just a couple of things to be excited about so far. If you recall, 2015 was also great year for Rogers. My next blog post will include points from the State of the City Address last month and a few other thoughts to enjoy reading.
I'm excited to engage citizens of Rogers with this new conversation platform. There is so much to do and talk about. I hope you will be part of the fun. Stay tuned into City news when you visit our website
