Youth Basketball: 2nd - 8th Grade

ELIGIBILITY: All students grades two (2) through eight (8).  Exception:  Students who are members of school basketball teams are ineligible.

REGISTRATION FEE: $100

REGISTRATION DEADLINE:  OCTOBER 10
 *$20 Late Fee Applies to Registrations Taken After The Deadline - Late sign-ups are limited and will go where needed and there is a player opening on a team. 

PRACTICE BEGINS:  WEEK OF DECEMBER 2

GAMES BEGIN:  WEEK OF JANUARY 4
 
PRACTICES: (MAXIMUM)
Grades 2 - 5  Up to 2 Hours Per Week 
 Grades 6 - 8  Up to 3 Hours Per Week

UNIFORM:  Uniform shirts will be provided for all players.
 
INSURANCE:  RCSRA maintains a secondary policy of accidents insurance for participants.

COACHES MEETINGS:
2nd & 3rd Grades:  November 7 @ 7:15pm
4th & 5th Grades:  November 7 @ 6:00pm
6th, 7th, & 8th Grades: November 5 @ 6:00pm

*Coaches will receive team roster, schedule practice times, and receive equipment at the coaches meetings. 

TEAM FORMATION:
Players will be divided according to the school they attend. It may become necessary to combine two or more schools if not enough players from one school in that particular age group sign up. Late sign-ups are limited and will go where needed and there is a player opening on a team.

TRANSPORTATION:
It is the responsibility of the parents to get the children to practices and games. We cannot guarantee that routine carpool requests will be granted. If you have an extraordinary situation that might keep your child from playing, contact the league director.

COACHES NEEDED:
We are looking for enthusiastic, positive, fun coaches for every age in our league.  Please consider coaching your child's team and make a big difference today.  The child of the head coach will automatically be placed on that coach’s team. Please indicate when registering if you are planning to either be a head coach or assistant coach. If you are planning to be an assistant coach, please indicate who you would like to assist.
